Welcoming Dr. Vincent Ho to Mercury
Some people adopt new technology early. A rarer kind of person sees where attention is going years before the industry catches up — and builds for it anyway.
Dr. Vincent Ho Wai-fung is the second kind.
In 2004 — before YouTube existed, three years before the iPhone — he produced Love 123, Asia's first film made for a 3G mobile screen. The industry asked why anyone would watch a film on a phone. Twenty years later, the question answers itself.
He went on to pioneer microblog film in Mainland China, win Best Short Film at the CCTV Microfilm Channel, and found the Golden Flower Awards International Film Festival platform — through which more than 5,000 films have been screened and reviewed. Along the way, he earned a title that says more than any bio can: the "Father of Microfilm" in Hong Kong, and the "Father of Microblog Film" across the border.
Today, we're proud to welcome him to Mercury Technology Solutions as a partner.
Why now
The way audiences find stories is changing again. People no longer only browse feeds — they ask. And increasingly, it's an AI that answers.

Dr. Ho has spent three decades proving he can see these shifts early. We've spent ours building for this one. That conversation was always going to happen.
